AutoCAD 20.1 Free The first AutoCAD program was written by Arnold and Shunsuke Sawada and released in 1982. In July 1986, the Sawadas launched the first version of AutoCAD for Macintosh users. The first desktop version of AutoCAD for Windows was released in 1987. In 1989, the company founded by the Sawadas, AutoDesk, started selling the first version of AutoCAD for Windows as a retail product through a network of computer dealers. AutoCAD was one of the first commercially successful and widely used application programs for desktop personal computers and is now an industry standard, used in both 2D and 3D design and drafting. History AutoCAD History was first created by Arnold Sawada and Shunsuke Sawada in 1981 and released to the public in 1982. They were inspired by the release of CAD/CAM programs for the microcomputer such as Computer Space from The Design Group and NCR-Deltagraph from NCR. In 1982, Autodesk was formed when the Sawadas left New Art Software and formed their own company, Autodesk. In 1984, Autodesk released a 16-bit version of AutoCAD for the 80286 microprocessor called AutoCAD to run on a cheaper machine. The 16-bit version of AutoCAD allowed many more features and capabilities to be included. With the 32-bit version of AutoCAD (released in 1988), the software was considered a viable CAD product, but the 64-bit versions of AutoCAD released in 1993 to 1997 remained a research tool for scientists, engineers, architects, and other technical professionals. In January 1989, Autodesk released AutoCAD for Windows, which had a much more streamlined interface and a small memory footprint. In July of 1989, AutoDesk released AutoCAD for Mac, which contained many more features than the Windows version. In the USA, however, a significant proportion of Catholics are closer to the Christian fundamentalists, who are opposed to abortion, gay marriage, contraception, abortion and stem-cell research. These fundamentalists also hold that the Bible should be the only source of legislation. They are evangelical in outlook, and identify themselves as christian. As a result of this split within the Catholic Church, much of the US Catholic Right is made up of fundamentalist Catholics who refuse to accept the views of Vatican II and are open to being guided by the bishops. This has an influence on the politics of the Church, and a result is that the US Catholic Right tends to be opposed to the views of the Church on social issues.
